We are searching for a talented associate ready to step into a product specialist role to lead our local Instrumentation Fitting and Valve growth strategy in the Northeast market.

This role is a critical position within our business. This associate will report directly to the sales Director. Ferguson Industrial’s Northeast industrial salesforce is rapidly growing with a strong focus on value added product sales. The district coverage is Northern NJ, Northern PA, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME.

Ferguson Industrial has existing and established customers in the above market. Our goal is to expand our sales of instrumentation fittings and valves to both new and existing customers who buy these products to meet their applications.

We are searching for a candidate who has passion & experience selling instrumentation fitting and valve products. Someone that wants account responsibility and the opportunity to develop business and other associates.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and development new instrumentation business at industrial end users and OEMs

  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and technical knowledge to grow sales

  • Provide feedback to sales leadership on trends, market acceptance of products, & overall performance

  • Support and assist our local outside sales team for Instrumentation products.

  • Interact and develop relationships with key vendors to support sales at the accounts in your market

  • Work with inside sales team and management. Be a team player. Grow others so they can support you

  • Present Instrumentation product features and benefits to customers & engineering offices

  • Train customers on proper installation and the product offering

  • Develop and maintain relationships with I&C shops and engineering offices driving product specification

Qualifications:

  • Industry knowledge and experience are defining factors in the success of this role. A successful instrumentation fitting and valve product lok specialist will be goal driven, motivated, team oriented & able to build new relationships to grow sales.

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in selling instrumentation/Lok products is strongly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail

  • A high level of integrity dealing with problem solving, leadership & listening skills

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets and mobile devices

  • Ability to overcome objections, speak in uncomfortable situations and manage customer expectations

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)

  • Associate will need to reside in the Northeastern US area

  • Ability to overnight travel as needed within the market
