Eaton Corporation Inside Sales Engineer in Franklin, Massachusetts

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services Division is currently seeking a Senior Inside Sales Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Hanover, MD, Warrendale, PA, Boothwyn, PA, Mountainside, NJ, Franklin, MA, or Lewiston, ME location.

As one of our Inside Sales Engineers, you’ll help to provide solutions to our customers’ power problems. We assist customers at every stage of the power system: offering startup and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, monitoring performance, diagnosing system problems remotely, and resolving electrical hazards. Our support services help businesses make the most of their existing electrical equipment by optimizing performance and extending the life of existing facilities.  Our Inside Sales Engineers operate with the mission of providing best-in-class technical support, solution development and price and proposal quotations to our sales force, channel partners, and end-user customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DIMENSIONS

  • Lead all activities related to preparing technical pricing and commercial proposal quotations for assigned territories.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact/trusted advisor with sales force, channel partners, end users, subject matter experts and operations team members for the development of technical & commercial proposals.

  • Work on problems of diverse scope providing pricing development, technical application support, and proposal & submittal documentation.

  • Provide unique solutions beyond the standard specifications to provide greater customer value and support sales in delivering the proposal to the customer, when needed.

  • Act as a division liaison with other Eaton divisions and plants and outside suppliers to identify solutions to customer needs in conjunction with engineering services offerings.

  • Maintain proper communication with internal customers, including price and product feedback on both commercial and technical issues.

  • On occasion, visit customer sites to address customer needs and gather technical inputs for accurate proposal recommendations.

  • Track proposal and order hit rate activity, enabling field management and outside sales engineers to monitor for customer/channel partner effectiveness.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution

  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent computer & analytical skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience
