Job Summary:

The Staff Development Coordinator works with the Staff Development Director in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating all-inclusive program for the training and continuing education of all staff members in order to provide our residents with maximum physical, emotional, medical, spiritual and psychological care and comfort.

Full Time Monday through Friday:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct St. Patrick's Manor general mandatory education programs for all new employees
  • Assist in teaching CNA training program
  • Orient new nurses and CNA's and confirm clinical competency

  • Hold classes for all personnel for review of safety measures, fire procedure, and infection control

  • Maintain records of all education conducted

  • Communicate with Department Heads to identify specific training needs

  • Give recognition for work well done verbally and through use of anecdotal notes
  • Provide discipline and constructive criticism as indicated


Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Previous experience in which administrative, supervisory and leadership abilities have been demonstrated.
