Sanofi Group R&D Lab Operations Specialist in Framingham, Massachusetts
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of Lab Operations Specialist to join a high-performing, collaborative team working.in he Cell Line Development (CLD) group, part of the Chemistry Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) organization within Sanofi Research & Development. The work being done directly supports development projects within Sanofi’s Biologics R&D pipeline and continuous improvement of department operations.
Coordinate with vendors for ordering and maintenance of lab supplies and equipment.
Manage business processes including vendor quotations, purchase orders and invoices working collaboratively with Finance and other local and global support functions to ensure R&D project timelines are met.
Develop and implement training program(s) for the CLD staff.
Interface with Health Safety & Environmental (HSE), metrology, and quality groups to support all CLD activities.
Perform routine lab duties including maintenance and safety checks.
Manage daily CLD laboratory support operations collaborating with CLD study leads to identify project needs and align support activities.
Design and maintain electronic databases and tracking tools and organize document repositories on networked share spaces.
Assist the CLD leadership team in forecast preparation.
Update current templates for project timelines and reports to improve effectiveness.
Drive continuous improvement efforts of CLD operations.
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s or Technical degree with a minimum of 6 years or High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Experience working in cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work in a laboratory setting and adhere to all lab safety requirements.
Must have permanent US work authorization
Proficient in Microsoft Project or other planning tool.
Experience in a lab environment.
Experience using operational excellence tools.
Proficiency with electronic systems and ability to learn new systems quickly.
