This position is for a Program Manager for LenelS2, a Carrier company. This person leads cross-functional teams to bring product developments through the complete product life cycle from concept through commercial release and post-release support.
Integrates and executes a multi-functional commercialization process to deliver product/system offerings
Creates, assembles, and leads a cross-functional team, ensuring that comprehensive functional plans and deliverables are in place
Key communicator of business goals to Project Team, and sets Team performance commitments to those goals
Provides for the timely assessment, planning, and execution of product commercialization
Drives the rigorous use of the Carrier Passport process to assure that commitments are well defined and met
Manages program risk at all levels and ensures effective contingency planning
Develops and monitors key product, program, and business measures. Agrees on goals and allowable variances on these goals with the business leaders and communicates progress.
Achieves expected and committed product delivery, quality, service, and financial goals. Informs business leaders as soon as an “out of bounds” condition develops. Develops recommendations for dealing with the situation in a timely fashion.
Ensures that products are consistent with market/customer needs and business strategies.
Responsible and accountable for all aspects of the commercialization program (i.e., performs as a project level GM).
Successful completion of the commercialization program consistent with agreed-to measures (i.e., the achievement of sales & service goals, customer satisfaction, NPV, cycle time, schedule conformance, unit manufacturing costs, Budget)
All elements of the value chain (sales, operations, service, etc.) reach agreed upon goals for the product.
Consistency of the product with the “bounding box” parameters
Technology and portfolio leveraging.
The product is consistent with customer needs and expectations and meets business goals.
Delivers consistent, credible communication with key stakeholders (risks, issues, wins/losses)
Utilize tools/resources to effectively manage Business (MS Project, MS Office, Resource Management, Daptiv, Rally, Confluence, Forecast Spreadsheets, Budget Planning)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
Master’s degree in business a plus
Project Manager Professional (PMP) certified or willing to achieve
Desired Experience or Characteristics
Cross-functional experience across diverse disciplines (i.e., Marketing, Design/Development, Finance, Supply Chain). Regional experience is considered a plus.
Demonstrated project management capabilities and experience.
Great verbal and written skills to present project status to a business audience
Experience in risk mitigation techniques
Agility (i.e., ability to be effective in an environment of continuous change).
Demonstrated ability in past software based program management
Can-Do Mindset (i.e., willing to go through, around, over, or under barriers to achieve the desired results).
Interpersonal (coaching, mentoring, influencing, lead and motivate)
Other important information about this position
This position’s preferred location is Framingham, MA, however, open to a remote working arrangements and will manage a local and geographically diverse team of employees and contract staff.
Occasional travel is required.
