Staples Program Manager, Brand Strategy in Framingham, Massachusetts

Our team is diverse, with skillsets and responsibilities ranging from graphic design, content creation and performance marketing to loyalty & rewards programs. We work together to provide expertise and guidance, so that the Staples brand is well represented in all areas.

The role of the Program Manager, Brand Strategy is responsible for the development of the brand marketing strategies and thought leadership programs to expand Staples overall reach and drive brand awareness. This person will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with external partners to broaden the reach of Staples brand messaging, identifying opportunities to establish Staples as a reliable & credible thought partner. This person will be responsible for providing insights on our goals, target audience, and messaging priorities to ensure all tactics align to our overarching brand marketing. In addition, this person will be responsible for sourcing and maintaining our content library to keep our content up-to-date and insightful. Finally, this person will partner closely with our internal Digital Marketing, Communications, Customer Lifecyle and Creative teams on the development and execution of brand campaigns, events, and messaging through various marketing platforms and vehicles. In partnership with these teams, this person will be responsible for delivering against an integrated marketing plan with a primary focus on awareness and consideration driving activities.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Identify and develop relationships with external partners for brand partnership opportunities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of brand partnerships & campaign deliverables

  • Lead the ideation and execution of Thought Leadership programs to expand Staples brand reach

  • Develop an integrated marketing plan that optimizes reach and effectiveness of all brand campaigns

  • Act as SME for internal partners to ensure our brand is properly represented across campaigns

  • Monitor and stay current on market trends and competitive activity to identify new and emerging strategies for upper funnel marketing tactics, content ideas, and brand campaigns

  • Detail oriented, highly organized individual with strong project management skills

  • Pro-active and self-motivated work style with proven ability to collaborate broadly with flexible, positive attitude to get results within a cross-functional team

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with demonstrated track record of strong execution

  • Strategic thinking combined with ‘on your feet’ problem solving ability

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as demonstrated experience in persuasively presenting insights and recommendations to senior management

Qualifications :

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant work experience

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience working with media outlets, marketing agencies a plus

  • Experience in Brand Marketing or Paid Media strongly preferred
