Staples Product Specialist- Ink & Toner in Framingham, Massachusetts
Description
Staples is focused on our customer and our community. As a Product Specialist for Staples, you will support the Merchandising organization in managing Staples Retail product lines for sales, margin and supply chain. This involves research, ad hoc financial planning and analysis, promo planning and execution, print vehicle merchandising, in-store merchandising, SKU set-up/maintenance. Includes communications with vendors for images, content, cost information plus communications with the Store Operations team including responding to merchandising database issues and price match requests.

Key Deliverables:
Plan promotions together withthe Category Manager, enter them into the promotional database, andexecute all promotions flawlessly
Maintain and coordinateadvertising and promotional data bases. Managing timelines and holdingpartners accountable. Communicate new information for forecasts to supplychain
Coordinate and collect allproduct information and samples for seasonal promotions and planograms.
Proof all online and printvehicles including sku, copy, and image
Proactively manage the SKU andVendor set-up and maintenance process
Coordinate Planogram activitywith Category manager and store design team, maintain data base, insuretimely completion of tasks.
Weekly category reporting ontrends and ad hoc reports and analysis, as needed
Review competitors store andonline experiences for new product ideas, notable presentations andpricing discrepancies
With direction from theCategory Manager and DMM, conduct market research, gather industry data,track trends, themes, competitive shopping to assist with item selection
Maintain standards of serviceto the merchandising issues database, support ad hoc product informationrequests
Work closely with marketingpartners on requesting and submitting marketing assets for peak seasons(in store radio, OLBs, OLCs, Dedicated email, etc.)

Qualifications
Essential skills and experience:
0-2 years’ experience in business or related field
Bachelor's degree
Preferred skills and experience:
Merchandising experience
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Financial / Analytical experience
