Staples Manager, Product Strategy & Innovation in Framingham, Massachusetts

We utilize online merchandising and campaigns executed by both humans and automated tools to convert new and returning website visitors into customers. At the same time, our teams focus on building and executing a strong innovation pipeline for the future. We work end-to-end with our sales, merchandising, finance, logistics and technology teams to provide a world-class, holistic digital experience, growing profitable results in a fun and rewarding work environment.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Drive product roadmap, including vision, strategy, and execution

  • Influence design and scope of products and tools to ensure that the end result meets business needs

  • Define key performance indicators (financial, customer, site) to measure program effectiveness and continuous improvement

  • Partner with external agencies, consultants, internal and external technology partners, key Merchandising stakeholders, and other business units across the Staples portfolio

What you bring to the table :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills as well as demonstrated experience in fact-based analysis, including the ability to persuasively present insights and recommendations to senior management

  • Pro-active and self-motivated work style with proven ability to collaborate broadly with flexible, positive attitude to get results within a cross-functional team

  • Understanding of merchandising sales and margin objectives

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making with the ability to break down complex problems and formulate plans. Strong analytical and financial skills

  • Strategic thinking combined with ‘on your feet’ problem solving ability

  • Ability to build relationships with business partners and proactively assess needs of the business

Qualifications :

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or another related field or equivalent job experience

  • 7 years of work experience with 3+ years of Product innovation and/or Product management experience

  • Strong knowledge of digital media channels and CRM/audience activation

  • Strong knowledge of Adtech/Martech landscape

  • Experience working in an agile development environment; comfort with PI planning, writing epics, backlog refinement, etc.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with GAM and Liveramp preferred
