DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Health Safety and Environmental Group (HSE) is responsible for implementing programs and policies that comply with all local, state, and federal HSE rules and regulations and continuously strive to reduce the incidence and severity of occupational injury and illness. The HSE department promotes a safe and environmentally friendly work environment through the integration of value-added HSE programs, policies, and services.

HSE MISSION:

Develop and implement Sanofi’s strategic direction for Safety and Health. Assure that the business achieves compliance with all Legal and Sanofi requirements including policies, procedures, standards, and performance goals for safety are met. Assure continuous safety improvement to meet annual safety improvement targets and drive the development of HSE Culture within the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of next-generation digital platforms within the HSE department to enhance productivity through technology solutions.

  • Manage the transition of the HSE department’s Management System through the use of computer, technology, and web-based opportunities to digitalize data system platforms.

  • Provide support and continuous improvement activities to members of the HSE and Operational Excellence groups.

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support, including filing, faxing, copying, and data entry.

  • Coordinate and/or attend meetings with members of the department.

  • Review the current HSE Management Systems (Accident/Incident, See & Act, CAPA, etc.) at the Framingham Campus and perform an analysis of the current state in order to develop an action plan for the integration of digital platforms. Post analysis actions will lead to the development and implementation of best-in-class computer, technology, and web-based opportunities to digitalize the data system platforms for streamlining information sharing and communications throughout the Framingham Campus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in the Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental related disciplines.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast, priority-switching environment

  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills

  • Basic Computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business.

  • Ability to gown to gain entry to manufacturing space.
