Weston & Sampson Environmental Scientist/Geologist in Foxborough, Massachusetts
Weston & Sampson is currently seeking an Engineer/Environmental Scientist/Geologist with 0-3 years of experience in our Foxborough, MA office. This candidate must have a strong work ethic and who would like to be part of a growing team. Optimal candidate will reside in the Foxborough area and have the ability to work remotely.
What you’ll do:
Experience and be familiar with, or excited to learn about, performing Environmental sampling, oversite of environmental remediation and construction projects, inspections of constructed sites, report preparation associated with environmental activities, assuring compliance with contract specifications and plans
Collecting field samples for screening and/or laboratory analysis (air, soil, groundwater, and water),
Required to work long hours at environmental sites documenting and inspecting work.
Ability to handle flexible workload, diverse project files, and work well with multiple staff members.
What you will bring:
Associates degree in engineering or environmental science or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology or related field.
0 to 3 years of experience
Familiarity with ArcGIS and AutoCAD considered a plus but is not mandatory.
Experience working in field setting (construction oversight, soils logging, drilling oversight) a plus but not required.
A positive attitude and able to communicate effectively with others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Travel will be required to conduct field work (valid driver’s license is required)
Able to handle flexible workload
Work well with multiple staff members
