Seeking a Quality Manager for a high growth goverment contractor client in the Fitchburg, MA area. The Quality Manager is responsible for for assuring that all products manufactured meet customer and company specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. Ensuring all the Quality Assurance Systems are fully implemented and monitored and working with the Supplier Quality, Quality Control and QMS Managers to ensure that procedures and practices are standardized and followed. responsibilities:

  • Provide quality leadership to direct reports peers and superiors

  • Staff, train, equip, and direct the activities of quality assurance personnel including quality engineers, inspectors, and auditors.

  • Identify and justify capital equipment and/or technology improvements

  • Maintain, execute, and improve the Quality Assurance elements of the quality management system using departmental and company resources.

  • Manage all ERP/Quality System related quality modules. Use data to drive improvement through disciplined metrics management and team projects

  • Perform direct coordination with customer and suppliers during early planning phases of development and production programs

  • Manage direct and indirect budgets and department expenses

  • Develop and review quality assurance cost estimates in support of proposal efforts

  • May specialize in distinct Quality functions such as Product Quality & Supplier Quality, but ideally will prove competency in all Quality functions

  • Assist in the development and approval of Internal Procedures and Standard Operating procedures (SOP)

  • Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission values and culture of the organization
