We have an opportunity for a full time (35 hours per week) Facilities and Transportation Manager. Primary responsibilities include: Overseeing the maintenance portal system. Ensure timing for ticket completion is appropriate given the nature of the request, and ensure prompt communication with requester. Ensure compliance with city, state and federal requirements, and facilitate required inspections. Conduct annual property assessments. Including all sites and program locations. Respond to building emergencies and safety concerns, including schedule emergency repairs with outside vendors. Oversee all preventive maintenance and improvement projects, including securing sealed bids for external contractors. Act as company representative with contractors, vendors, inspectors, and city officials as appropriate. Serve as an active member of the Safety Committee, including providing reports as requested. Supervise all Facilities and Transportation employees. Ensure all employees have appropriate, and on-going training, and provide such training as needed. Oversee transportation scheduling. Ensure regulatory compliance for all functions, including vans. During inclement weather, report to work prior to 7 a.m. to assess weather conditions and work collaboratively with Sr Leadership to determine whether transportations services can be run safely. Evaluate and ensure safety and snow removal to insure buildings and grounds are safe and accessible to both clients and staff. Oversee Facilities and Transportation purchases and monitor inventory for emergency supplies. Develop and implement an efficient emergency inventory control strategy to support uninterrupted agency and program operations.
The ideal candidate shall have an Associates or Bachelor?s degree in related field preferred. High School Diploma with related experience required and at least 3 years of supervisory experience required. Must have basic knowledge and experience with property maintenance, including cleaning, project oversight, and preventive maintenance. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent communication skills. Experience with transportation/logistics and vehicle maintenance preferred.
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, likely 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Final schedule to be determined upon hire. Some flexibility of schedule will be necessary during times of inclement weather to insure building access and walks are clear of snow.
