Global Tools and Storage is currently seeking candidates for Sr. Financial Analyst for the manufacturing plant in East Longmeadow, MA.
The GTS manufacturing plant in East Longmeadow, MA focuses on the production of bandsaws, blades and power tool accessories. The plant is 24-7 operation with a COT of $140M and population of over 650 employees, one of the largest GTS plants.
The Senior Financial Analyst role within the ELM plant will support the Plant Controller and will be exposed to all of the critical financial processes and rhythms of a manufacturing plant, including month end closing, reporting and forecasting. The ELM Finance team will work with members of the supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing teams to provide operations with information necessary to drive the business. They will also have exposure to budgeting, fixed assets, and the standard cost roll process. ELM is a vertically integrated and complex facility, which allows the ANALYST to see the full manufacturing process from raw material to packaged finished good across numerous product lines
The individual must possess excellent analytical and communications skills and be able to work with and support leadership.
Scope / Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of reporting and any ad hoc analysis required by Plant management.
Assist with annual budget and quarterly review processes.
Partner with operations to develop realistic financial plans and forecasts aligned to operational goals.
Participate in the monthly close process in conjunction with cross-functional teams
Assist in Budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of actual results
Drive process improvement projects to gain efficiencies in reporting and forecasting cycles.
Provide financial support for new initiatives and ad hoc data requests.
Skills & Experience
Ability and structure to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and deliver results
Working knowledge of accounting principles
Strong analytical skills with ability to manipulate, aggregate, filter, and summarize large data sets into actionable insights
Ability to present and communicate at all levels with self-confidence
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross functionally and across business boundaries to solve issues and drive projects to completion
Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge of Hyperion HFM and SAP or their equivalent SAP
Possess Leadership Qualities in Accountability, Integrity, Respect, Vision, Boundarylessness, Stretch, and Speed
Ability to work independently; self-motivated
3 to 5 years’ experience, with a degree in Accounting/Finance
Experience in a dynamic, large company environment preferred
Experience with financial analysis, reporting, and/or budgeting
