Cartamundi MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV 1 in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts

The Machine Technician, Games will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting equipment on the games assembly line.

What You'll Do as a Machine Technician, Games:

  • Operate Final Assembly equipment.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting on some of the equipment, such as carton tapers, dispensers, date coders and instruction inserters.

  • As a team member on the production line, work to meet required production and quality output levels.

  • Safely use hand and power tools as well as hoists and cranes

  • Fill out production reports, time tickets or service reports.

  • Participate in the department's Continuous Improvement Initiatives

  • Perform material handling

  • Support department initiatives such as 5S and Total Productive Maintenance Systems (TPM)

We're Looking for a Machine Technician, Games who Has:

  • The ability to operate and maintain box forming/wrapping equipment, shrink wrap/bundle equipment and other automated equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • An emphasis on teamwork and can function well in a diverse environment

  • A working knowledge of computers and an understanding of basic hydraulics, pneumatics, and technical writing/drawings

  • The ability to read and understand equipment operation manuals

  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to affectively collaborate their team

  • Is comfortable working under direct supervision

  • Experience with Emmeci, Crathern, Shanklin and/or Kallfass equipment, preferred, not required

  • 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, not required

Physical Requirements Include the Ability to:

  • Stand or sit for an 8-hour shift.

  • Repetitively grasp, pinch, push and pull with arms hands, occasionally simultaneously, with and without mechanical assisted devices

  • Frequently transfer objects and materials weighing up to 25 lbs

  • Reach above shoulder height to work, bending and stooping occasionally to work at different heights.

  • Safely mount, dismount and operate mobile equipment.

  • Move from one area to another in the department around equipment, climb stairs, platforms and ladders.

  • This Machine Technician, Games position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow, MA facility.
