ABOUT YOU

As Manager, Aviation Security Operations, you have a strong understanding of aviation security regulations, and are capable in supervising and developing staff to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. You excel in planning and delivering training programs, possess strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions, and have a keen eye for compliance and audit processes. With a commitment to security and a focus on detail, you foster collaboration with various stakeholders, maintain adaptability in a dynamic environment, and consistently strive to enhance aviation security, ultimately ensuring the safe and efficient operation of airports and all Massport Aviation assets.

What you will do:

  • Provide operational support to ensure the development, implementation, and management of aviation security activities, rules, and procedures across multiple airports while supervising the Logan Airport Aviation Officer Unit.

  • Supervise and develop staff, delivering training, overseeing gate operations, and addressing anomalies in coordination with stakeholders, all while ensuring compliance with TSA regulations and fostering continuous improvement.

  • Assist in overseeing TSA airport security programs, evaluating compliance, and implementing security and business practices in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Implement security audit programs, assess compliance, identify deviations, and improve security operations, while continuously updating security policies and reporting on aviation security metrics to achieve strategic objectives.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in the military, a security organization, or airport environment.

  • Proficiency in video systems, alarms, and access control, with demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Effective organizational skills, ability to assess business risks, excellent written and oral communication, and a track record of building relationships to achieve security goals.
