WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

This position is a hybrid schedule- two days in in either our Dorchester, MA or Dallas, TX office and three days remote.

The Sr. Advisor, Compliance serves as a subject matter expert to ensure documents, projects, processes or other initiatives comply with regulatory and legal requirements and enterprise policy. The incumbent performs risk assessments, synthesizes analyses, identifies root cause(s), and provides recommendations to management that influence business solutions.

The successful candidate will provide support to run the daily work and initiatives of the Regulatory Change Management and Exam Management Programs, ready to make contribution to the busy department by being highly organized and able to prioritize and adapt to the variable workload.

Monitors regulatory change activities to minimize the company's exposure to risk and supports management on oversight of Compliance examinations and Internal Audits.

Responsibility:

  • Advises management on current issues regardingbanking.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert to ensure documents, projects, processes or other initiatives comply with regulatory and legal requirements and enterprise policy.

  • Partners with managers in assigned business unit to ensure deliverables requested by regulatory agencies oraudit are provided timely and accurately.

  • Identifies systemic procedural weaknesses and additional training requirements needed to ensurecompliance.

  • Collaborates across business units within the organization to ensure consistency in policies andprocedures.

  • Identifies compliance opportunities and potentialsolutions.

  • Performs risk assessments, synthesizes analyses, identifies root cause(s), and provides recommendations tomanagement.

  • Provides compliance input on business action plans, projects, or operationalrequests.

  • Provides insight and guides management onissues.

  • Leads and influence cross functional enterprise projects or complianceteams.

  • Leads efforts to improve standardization and efficiency of responses toregulators.

  • Offers recommendations and makes project related decisions within scope of workassignment.

  • Serves as a resources to team members on escalated issues of unusualnature.

  • Mentors and enhances compliance staff knowledgecompetencies.

  • Ensures proper implementation of business requirements and identifies outstanding complianceissues.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience: 9+ years ; Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, or Financial Services.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance, relevant industry regulations and regulatory datasources.

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating change to achieve measurableresults.

  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise compliance opportunities andresolution.

  • Business Lineawareness.

  • Detail orientated with the ability to also understand overallstrategy.

  • Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skillsrequired.

  • Excellent written and verbal communicationskills
