METROLOGY TECHNICIAN I

Position Summary:

To assist Sr. Techs with calibration protocols and ensure plant and process instrumentation functions per specification and in compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assists in qualification activities related to instrumentation and calibration.

· Support Sr. Tech with projects.

· Provides support for vendor escort.

· Gathering instruments for vendor sent outs and processing certs.

· Participates in cross functional teams to support business needs.

· Applying LOTOs and filling Safe Work Permits

Knowledge and Skills:

· High School Diploma with 0-3 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

· Prior evidence of successful participation on work teams where combined contribution, collaboration, and results were expected.

· Demonstrated proficiency in common computer tools such as word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based applications.

· Work experience where attention to detail and personal accountability were critical to success

· Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, is attentive and approachable.

· Maintains a professional and productive relationship with area management and co-workers.

· Computer literate in Maximo or similar computer-based calibration program a plus.

· Understanding of operating principles of industrial instrumentation and control systems.

· General knowledge of P&IDs control theories and techniques and have ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot engineering drawings.

· electrical schematics with assistance when needed.

· Knowledge of both calibration and maintenance of instrumentation on biotech manufacturing equipment.

*Works 10-hour WED-SAT (0600 to 1600) which involves working all holidays that fall on the schedule. Required to work some holidays, and during adverse weather conditions in support of manufacturing facility. Flexibility to work irregular hours and short notice overtime. This role is inclusive of a 5% shift differential.

Working Conditions:

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds, be able to work off from ladders and scaffolding and able to wear appropriate PPE when necessary.

· Must be able to work shift work.
