Avantor Assistant Manager, Production- Bio-Pharm in Devens, Massachusetts

Job Summary Working on- site and an integral member of the production team the Assistant Manager will oversee the Supervisors and corresponding Associates while ensuring continuous and on-time production. The Assistant Manager will focus on: Maintaining manufacturing procedures Ensuring that production is flowing to schedule with minimal disruptions and deviations Making certain all associates adhere to the site safety procedures and adhere to reporting requirements Providing information regarding on-time performance of production activity with the goal of meeting/ exceeding customer SLA?s Interacting with team members to solve problems, make decisions and respond to staffing issues, as it relates to single-use manufacturing Directing the operations team on major production activities and non-routine changes to the schedule and other applicable information Defining roadmap, goals, and objectives of the team Utilizing lean manufacturing tools to recommend and implement changes in production. Required Experience (Two + Years): Manufacturing Leadership Preferred Experience (Two + Years): GMP & FDA regulated manufacturing Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, assembly instructions, and drawings.
