AOA Xinetics (AOX), a wholly owned Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP), Payload and Ground Systems Division Business Venture, is a leading supplier of complex electro-optic and photonic systems and subsystems that control and manipulate light waves for a variety of applications. AOA-Xinetics designs, develops, and manufactures precision, advanced optical products and systems such as deformable mirrors, optical systems, adaptive optics control systems and silicon carbide optical structures for the U.S. Government, commercial customers, and U.S. defense prime and second-tier contractors. Markets for these technologies include civilian astronomy and semiconductor capital equipment as well as defense ISR and Directed Energy. We are currently seeking an Actuator Assembly Technician 3 to support Manufacturing activities in Devens, MA.


Reporting to the Production Manager of Precision Devices, the Actuator Assembly Technician will be responsible for the assembly and processing of thermally processed ceramic actuators through a variety of operations such as lapping, sandblasting, bonding, wiring, and conformal coating.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Manual dexterity and good motor skills

  • Able to read production drawings.

  • Able to read, understand, and follow Work Instructions

  • Common knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hand soldering skills

  • Ability to assemble small devices utilizing a microscope

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems that arise on the manufacturing line

  • Able to work in a group environment

Salary Range: $54,500.00 - $90,900.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
