As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the inspection of existing structures to determine their physical condition, maintenance needs, and potential hazards. You will primarily conduct fieldwork, as well as report preparation and data entry. This position will require travel, with occasional overnight stays and/or weekend and overnight hours. You will be working indoors and outdoors in the field in various terrain and weather conditions. You will work under the supervision of the Regional Manager and/or Project Managers.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs inspection/field work
If applicable, conducts underwater inspections of existing structures
Ensures equipment is maintained and in proper location
Knowledgeable of construction and inspection practices
Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering documents
Assists in the completion of reports
Knows how to perform his/her duties safely
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Majority of time is spent in the field and could involve working weekends and overnight.
Associates degree required or a minimum of 2 years of related inspection experience preferred
CAD experience a plus
UAS Remote Pilot (Drones) a plus
A valid driver's license
