Cell Signaling Technology Program Manager in Danvers, Massachusetts

We are seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to join our Research & Development team. The Program Manager will be a key member of the Program & Portfolio Management Team, whose responsibility it is to ensure programs and products progress through the CST development workflow according to service level agreements and waterfall methodologies. The position will be responsible for driving the development and managing the execution of high quality, integrated cross-functional program plans in support of corporate objectives. This position may also involve the coordination and management core business initiatives and defining/refining current development processes. She/he applies project management best practices through the lifecycle of the program from concept through closeout.

  • Serves as Program Manager for cross-functional programs moving through CST's Product Development Process

  • Single point of contact for all operational aspects of the Program through ownership of cross-functional touch points governing new product development (Development, Production, Operations, Marketing, Sales, IT, Quality, Regulatory, Legal)

  • Successfully lead multi-disciplinary project teams and ensure that projects and programs deliver the agreed objectives and deliverables

  • Define, organize and be responsible for all project/program communication including Core Team notes/agendas, actions and decisions, program management documentation and presentations to Governance Committee

  • Obtain commitment to the program scope and timelines from the program Core Team and Governance Committee. Ensure that all are working in accordance to the agreed Plan at all times

  • Accountability for program initiation, planning, execution and control (Quality, Costs, Time and Risk), and formal closure

  • Development of program and project risk assessments and risk response plans. Continuously review/update plans throughout the project and ensure stakeholders accountability and awareness

  • Manage the timely escalation of critical project issues per the agreed Escalation Policy

  • Control project scope and manage the agreed changes

  • Contribute to applicable business reporting and program deliverables as necessary

  • Carry out Lesson Learned process with the teams at the end of agreed key milestones within the program

  • Develop and manage project history files and output from all lesson learned meetings

  • Decommission the program at the end of the contracted activities

  • Bachelor’s degree & 4+ years of Program Management experience OR Master’s degree & 3+ years of Program Management experience OR Doctorate degree & 2+ years of Program Management experience

  • Program Management experience working within R&D division of a Life Sciences or Biotechnology company

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams while managing large and complex programs from Initiation through Closeout

  • Utilization of Program Management tools, methodologies, best practices and infrastructure

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMI/PMP) strongly preferred

  • Professional experience working within Life Sciences or Biotechnology environment preferred

  • Prior experience with Smartsheet Preferred

  • Google Suite (Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets)

  • Microsoft Suite (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word)
