Berkshire Healthcare Maintenance Assistant in Danvers, Massachusetts

Performs general and preventative maintenance, must possess a working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and mechanical associated building trades. Understand the practices surrounding proper handling of bio hazardous waste Maintains excellent communication with co-workers and management must exhibit a positive attitude and be able to work with a variety of people. Must be able to multi-task and be flexible with schedule and job duties.

Position will be 30 hours/week for 6-8 weeks and On Call after that.

Must have a minimum two years' experience working in a maintenance/plant related position.

Must have experience and knowledge of safe operation of powered hand tools.

Must be knowledgeable in building code, safety regulation and assist in establishing preventive maintenance programs.

Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Must be able to communicate clearly.

Must have the ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift up to 25 pounds occasionally to a minimum height of three feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight, with or without the aid of mechanical devices..
