We are looking for a dynamic leader to take on the role of Business Development Manager. In this position, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our Business Development team, which includes 8 Business Development Representatives, closely aligning their efforts with the strategic direction set by the Sales Leadership team and collaborating with Sales Directors to assess performance and market strategy alignment.

This role will be an in-office role based in Concord, MA.

What you will do:

Strategic Alignment:

  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Leadership team to understand and execute the strategic direction set for the organization.

  • Implement and execute BDR strategies that align with broader sales and market objectives.

  • Regularly communicate with Directors, Sales to ensure cohesion between BDR efforts and overall sales strategy.

Performance Assessment and Alignment:

  • Partner closely with Directors, Sales to assess BDR team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance BDR strategies in alignment with market dynamics and sales goals.

  • Adjust BDR tactics as necessary to support the evolving needs of the business.

Active Collaboration with Sales Directors:

  • Foster strong communication channels with Sales Directors to ensure a seamless flow of information between the BDR team and the broader sales organization.

  • Participate in regular strategy meetings to provide updates on BDR performance and gain insights into market dynamics.

  • Leverage feedback from Sales Directors to refine BDR training and development programs.

Training and Development:

  • Collaborate with Sales Operations and Sales Directors to design and execute training programs that support strategic goals.

  • Ensure BDR team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to execute on strategic objectives.

  • Continuously assess training effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.

Metrics, Analysis, and Reporting:

  • Develop and utilize metrics to measure BDR team performance and assess the effectiveness of strategies.

  • Provide regular reports to Sales Leadership on BDR metrics, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine BDR strategies and contribute to overall sales optimization.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive working environment that values diversity and equity.

  • Implement initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the BDR team.

What we are looking for:

  • 2-5 years of proven success in managing a Business Development team

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to assess performance and drive strategic decision-making.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, and other sales technologies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Track record of successfully implementing strategic initiatives to drive sales success.

  • Commitment to fostering a workplace that values continuous learning and development.

  • Demonstrated empathy and a sense of humor, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
