Position Overview:

Phillips Medisize, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering teams in the development of new tooling and manufacturing systems for the medical device and drug delivery industry.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate, direct and lead engineering efforts to ensure optimum engineering of projects/programs to meet customer and manufacturing requirements

  • Interface with customers on a regular basis to resolve issues

  • Facilitate communication between customer, sales, engineering functions, outside vendors, manufacturing and multi-facility groups

  • Maintain cost control and profitability through interaction with the accounting group, sales and our customers

  • Coordinate tooling programs from kick-off to part production ready (customer and manufacturing approval

  • Create and monitor project timelines

  • Develop and establish cost estimates and project options to support quoting function

  • Implement technical solutions to meet customer and Phillips Plastics cost, quality, and delivery expectations

  • Extended travel to other facilities may be required to support business needs

Job Title:Quality TechnicianJob Description:Phillips Medisize LLC is seeking a Quality Technician on our SECOND SHIFT to perform dimensional inspection and ensure customer quality specifications are met; to troubleshoot problem areas; train employees on measuring equipment; create and coordinate an awareness and practice for quality policy and procedure. Focus is on analysis and problem solving.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Complete dimensional, visual and functional lot release on incoming and outgoing product in accordance with sampling plans and take action in accordance to documented procedures when potential quality problems are identified

  • Control and properly document non-conforming product

  • Assist with coaching of operators on documentation and quality matters

  • Complete capability studies and gage R&R analysis

  • Prepare appropriate inspection records and measurement reports

  • Perform inventory transactions for acceptable and non-conforming product

  • Operate precision measuring instruments in accordance with approved procedures

  • Provide assistance with the MRB process

  • Verify, index, file and retrieve quality records

  • Identify and recommend continual improvement opportunities for quality systems

  • Assist with submission or validation packets

  • Work within a team environment to complete other quality related duties as assigned

  • Some programs may have vision requirements

  • Two (2) years of directly related quality experience

  • Knowledge of incoming, in-process and finished product inspection techniques

  • Knowledge and experience working in a cGMP environment

  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints

  • Ability to apply SPC (Statistical Process Control)

  • Ability to meet timelines

  • Cannot be color blind; Must be able to distinguish different colors

  • Vision requirements to meet customer or facility requirements
