Temporary Laborer Position Title: Temporary Laborer Department: DPW - Flood Control Employment Status: Non-Exempt; Full-Time, Seasonal Salary: Non-Union, Ch. 7 Ordinance - Starting at \$15.00 per hour. Licenses/Certifications: Class D Driver\'s License SUMMARY The City of Chicopee\'s Department of Public Works / Flood Control Division is hiring a Temporary Laborer responsible for miscellaneous maintenance repair tasks or office work; lawn mowing, painting; grounds keeping and cleaning; catch basin marking; graffiti removal. ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE Landscaping Picks up trash/recycling, debris removal. Painting and graffiti removal Catch basin marking. Responsible for operating and maintaining power equipment. Responsible for safe operation of city vehicles in adherence with law and city policies Performing miscellaneous maintenance repair tasks or office work QUALIFICATIONS To be minimally qualified for this position, one must meet the following criteria: High School Diploma or Equivalent A minimum of three months related experience and/or training. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. BFOQ Notice: You must be at least 18 years old to operate machinery.
