Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will provide daily management and coordination of all maintenance services at the Faber Jesuit Community. Will be responsible for the scheduling of all work for 9 buildings(one off site at BC) on 2 acres, including 81 sleeping beds. Assess and evaluate general building, landscape, utility, life safety, security, and custodial needs. Perform minor repairs as needed. Coordinate all trade and custodial service. Work collaboratively with the Minister and Boston College Facilities Manager or Facilities Services (when appropriate). Refer and communicate issues to the Minister as needed.
Experience in building maintenance and or construction is required. Strong mechanical aptitude preferred. Licenses and certificates in any building trade including operating engineer will be advantageous. Experience with gardening and landscaping is preferred. Independent, self starter who can work with limited direct supervision. Well organized and detailed with the ability to plan and execute in a timely manner. A strong customer service attitude is required. Ability to relate to and work with various constituencies.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Computer literate especially with excel and word.
Must have a reliable vehicle and valid Massachusetts driverâs license.
Will be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Overnight and weekend work may be required to handle any property emergencies should they occur.
