Key Job Tasks::1: Assist customers with the adoption and deployment of Cadence Virtuoso Products and Flows (Virtuoso Layout Suite, Space Based Router, Electrically Aware Design).
2: Technical point person responsible for supporting and growing the installed base of Cadence Virtuoso Custom IC solutions at customers.
Establish and leverage relationships and account specific knowledge to uncover new ways for Cadence to positively impact customer’s design productivity.
Work with PE and R&D to drive improvements and features in our products to enhance value and customer productivity.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education: BSEE Degree (Preferred) with 7 to10 years (min) of hands on physical design/mask layout experience, will take into consideration years of experience in lieu of technical degree.* Location: Chelmsford, MA* Travel Requirements: 25%. Mostly in NE.* Candidate should be able to demonstrate hands on experience with Custom IC Layout creation using Virtuoso IC 6.1.x (VLS- XL, GXL) or Virtuoso 12.x.* Candidate should be able to demonstrate Schematic Driven Layout. Understand and articulate the value of: Gen From Source, chaining and folding pcells, modgens, wire editing, abstract generation, pin optimization, Custom IC and Mixed Signal Placement (Virtuoso Placer). Virtuoso Space Based Router.
Candidate will also deliver demos, training and workshops to customers.
Candidate will work closely with the Sales team on strategy and priorities.
Candidate should have a working understanding of Virtuoso techfiles, constraints, and what’s required to produce a DRC and LVS clean layout. Experience at 16nm and below is a big plus.
*Knowledge of SKILL and tcl are highly desired. PERL and Shell Scripting knowledge a key benefit. Also use of graphical text editors (vi, vim, gvim, emacs)
