We are seeking a highly qualified and entrepreneurial engineer with a passion for developing advanced technologies and translating them into real-world applications. ?Triton's diverse set of projects will give you experience across the engineering spectrum and allow you to shine in?a fast-paced environment. Platforms include UUV (unmanned underwater vehicle), underwater robotics and structures, diver communication, fiber optics, underwater and through hull connectors, submarines, towed arrays, and sonobuoy systems.? Relevant background in electro-mechanical design, fabrication, electronics integration and test, additive manufacturing technology, pressure vessel design, finite element analysis, and analytical methods is desirable.? Responsibilities: Self-starter with the ability to recognize and creatively solve complex problems Design and prototype cutting-edge ocean systems, utilizing CAD software Perform experiments in an independent & inventive manner Perform finite element analysis on offshore assets Desired qualifications: Adaptability: broad interest in science and technology with a willingness and interest in expanding into new fields and learning new techniques and skills Experience in undersea hardware system development, underwater/marine engineering, and the unique applications of working in a maritime environment Ocean Engineering: materials selection, offshore structures, naval architecture, and hydrodynamics Familiarity with deck operations required in the installation of cabled ocean equipment, offshore experience a plus Experience in energy related fields: Offshore wind, Oil & Gas, and/or marine hydro-kinetic energy is desired Electrical/Software Engineering: Power and control electronics, PCB design, GUI, and automation controls Experience conducting analysis of alternatives and technology review Excellent writing skills Familiarity with Solidworks, COMSOL, MATLAB, LabVIEW, ANSYS AQWA, WAMIT, OrcaFlex, and/or OpenFast etc. is desired ? Education/Experience: BS in Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field Advanced degree is a plus 5-10 years' experience working in ocean product design and prototype fabrication and testing is desired Due to the nature of our business and information associated with this position, interested candidates must be US Citizens and may be subject to a security investigation.
