How will you make an impact?

In this key role, you will be involved in the planning, scheduling, coordinating of final approval of products through the complete production cycle. You will work with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers and will resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.

What will you do?

  • Work from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.

  • Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.

  • Accountable for customer service, inventory, and manufacturing cost including optimized resource schedule

  • Capacity planning for rolling 12-18 months (equipment and shift capacity) – as well as one network view for total capacity

  • Plan the monthly buckets to achieve customer service

  • Level loading of the production and alignment of the inventory impact

  • Analysis of demand patterns together with demand planning to achieve a smooth production plan

  • Lead ramp up and ramp down production for inventory planning at site

  • When in backlog situation, priority tool is utilized to minimize impact

  • Ensure daily alignment with manufacturing and deviation management

  • Support in weekly ramp up and ramp down planning

How will you get here?

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field is required.

  • Minimum of two years planning experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in ERP/MRP Planning systems, including all relevant planning parameters such as inventory controls, replenishment, warehouse management and procurement functionality in ERP and best-of-breed software solutions is strongly preferred, with specific emphasis on SAP ECC, EWM and APO

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).

  • Strong knowledge or planning and purchasing systems.

  • Solid understanding of concepts of inventory flow throughout the supply chain.

  • Strong understanding of concepts of inventory management and distribution planning.

  • Strong customer service focus.

  • Ability to interface with multiple groups.

  • Ability to develop and provide reports to satisfy ongoing inquires on inventory, capacity and product availability.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate critical information.

  • Good problem solving and reasoning skills to effectively deal with problems varying in complexity relative to job level.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements

  • APICS certification.

  • Relevant experience in the Life Science or Medical Device industry.

  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification
