We are seeking a highly qualified and entrepreneurial engineer with a passion for bringing innovative products to market. Triton's diverse set of projects will give you experience across the engineering spectrum and allow you to shine in a fast-paced environment. Platforms include communication systems, hearing protection, sonar, noise quieting, and other innovative acoustics. ? Research and Development technical leadership and program management ? Conceive and prosecute new technology ideas stemming from ongoing projects, past work, or the blue sky (ideation, technology research, and product design and development) ? Serve both as an individual contributor and team leader, including subcontractors ? Relentlessly pursue project transition and product opportunities by understanding customer needs and competitive landscape, building stakeholder relationships, developing a transition roadmap, and aligning technical program to the immediate next milestones. ? Develop and communicate (in written form and orally) a compelling narrative for technical project progress or proposed work. ? Adaptability in a highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary environment ? Broad interest in science and technology with an interest in expanding into new fields ? Experience in proposal-writing and contract R&D (e.g. SBIR) is a plus ? High degree of comfort working on early phase research projects. ? Experience conducting analysis of alternatives and technology review ? BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics or equivalent; MS a plus. ? 5-10 years experience working in design and prototype fabrication and testing is desired. ? 3-4+ years of experience developing hearing conservation, communication or other audio / acoustic systems. ? Experience managing technical teams and directing projects. ? This position could be at a senior engineer, principal engineer, or director level. Desired: ? Signal processing experience for commercial, medical or military applications. ? Experience in system integration for embedded products. ? Hands on experience in hardware validation. ? Experience with common lab equipment (power supply, function generator, o-scope) ? Mechanical design of acoustic systems, speaker design, damping materials, arrays, earbuds, ear plugs, headphones, etc. ? Analog hardware design (amplifiers, filters) ? Programming experience (C/C++ programming skills, Assembly, Python, MATLAB) ? Experience developing on small, low-power embedded platforms and secure microcontrollers (MSP430, PIC, ARM Cortex-Mx) ? Experience with mobile Linux, Android and iOS. ? Experience with data analysis including statistics and regression analysis. ? Software modeling for algorithm development (Neural networks, optimal detection schemes) ? Experience with UI development ? Familiarity with wireless technologies (WiFi, ZigBee, Bluetooth, etc.) ? Familiarity with common communications protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, RS-232) ? Experience with simulating circuits in LTspice or equivalent. ? Experience designing hardware and schematics using Altium Designer or equivalent. ? Multiphysics acoustics modeling such as COMSOL ?
