Job Summary: We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician who will be responsible for providing comprehensive facility maintenance, repair and services on building components and systems for offices, and R&D laboratories, working Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform effective monitoring of equipment

  • Maintain and stay current with SOP requirements and

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC equipment systems

  • Ensure timely completion of all p/m's and work orders in your area of responsibility.

  • Facilitating and coordinating services with outside vendors and contractors and ensure successful completion of

  • Respond to trouble calls quickly and safely to minimize

  • Support and assist with shutdown planning and execution.

  • Overtime required as needed, including

  • Must be able to work at various heights and limited crawl

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Must observe and comply with all standard safety codes and

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to be successful in a fast paced and changing environment.

  • Experience in maintenance and operation of complex building systems infrastructure

  • Must be able to interpret detailed plans, specifications, operating manuals, and other written materials associated with

  • Strong HVAC background in equipment and HVAC controls

  • Optimize system performance to maintain operational efficacy

  • Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License is required

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, taste and smell. The employee must be able to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Do equipment inventory at roof level. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus, determine full range of colors in work areas, drawings and mapping. Ability to move about commercial properties and construction sites, through tight passageways and corridors. On feet throughout start-up process

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and may work in high precarious places; the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee will work in an environment where the following safety equipment’s are needed; steel toecap shoes, hearing protection, hardhat eye protection and hair protection. Abide by all safety guidelines including OSHA regulations, lock-out/tag-out, etc. Work schedule can be affected by production, downtime and many other variables. Candidates should be extremely flexible with non-customary schedules and weekend work. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
