Job Description

Lead Service Line Replacement Technical Manager - Water

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, also known as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), allocates a significant amount of money towards lead service line (LSL) replacement for communities. AECOM is seeking a Lead Service Line Replacement Project Manager that will support the execution of nationwide programs to inventory and replace lead service lines across various municipals across the country. The successful candidate will bring experience in water infrastructure and a proven track record in supporting lead service line replacement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management. Manage a range of lead service line related activities, including the development of service line inventories, community engagement plans, LSL replacement plans, and SRF funding applications with active involvement from the community.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including federal agencies, municipalities, utilities, contractors, and community groups..

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop local teams to support the lead service line programs. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in the water-related field

  • 4 years experience with lead service line replacement projects + programs

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience with client relationships.

  • Experience with public speaking and advocacy.

  • Experience with water infrastructure regulations and best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,000.00 - $150,000.00.
