Electro-Optical Scientist/Engineer Triton Systems Inc. We develop advanced, functional systems and materials solutions for applications in aerospace, hypersonic flight, optics, medical devices, and diverse other fields. Objective of Role: In this role you will be responsible for guiding the development of innovative solutions for our customers through the entire design process, from concept to commercialization. You will offer vision and guidance to the multidisciplinary team as they perform research, build prototypes, and mature and deploy products. Some of Your Responsibilities: ? Identify meaningful user requirements through interactions with the customer ? Conceptualize and investigate user-focused solutions to meet customer requirements ? Develop, procure, and fabricate functional models or prototypes to obtain user feedback and iterate designs ? Drive the design process through technical decision points ? Provide management and technical leadership of 2-4 concurrent projects ? Present results and progress to customers (written and oral) ? Support business development through proposal writing and the pursuit of strategic partnerships ? Identify, coordinate and manage of vendors and suppliers as we transition products from prototype stage to manufacture Desired Qualifications: ? MS/PhD, or equivalent experience, in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Applied Physics, or closely related field with significant experience in designing and demonstrating applied electro-optical systems ? 4-8 years of experience in advanced technology R&D ? Demonstrated product development experience is preferred ? Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary environment ? Broad interest in science and technology with a willingness and interest in expanding into new fields ? Excellent writing skills ? Excellent laboratory skills This scientist/engineer will report to a Director. He/she will work with existing teams and contribute to current efforts while also having the opportunity to participate in the creation of new initiatives in strategically targeted areas.
