Implement and sustain automated RF/microwave/mmwave test solutions in both engineering and moderate production environments.
Amplifiers, mixers, switches, attenuators, phase shifters, modulators, limiters, and more tested on-wafer and in package.
Tasks are diverse from a product perspective and time sensitive, requiring organizing skills, innovation and attention to detail.
Write and modify test programs to satisfy product specifications.
Setup and operate wafer probers and package handlers and integrate underlying test equipment.
Build and tear down "rack-and-stack" systems using signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and other instrumentation used in RF measurements.
Review product requirements with design, applications and quality team.
Design and order probe cards utilizing: RF coaxial, vertical, membrane, and cantilever probes.
Work with equipment vendors to align their products' performance with Qorvo's product requirements.
Train technicians to be self-sufficient in test operation of approved systems.
Setup and calibrate vector network analyzers on-wafer and in fixture.
Create database driven statistical reports using SQL and own code.
Debug, isolate and troubleshoot problems with microwave RF and digital circuits.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
3+ years working in an RF and/or microwave/mmwave test role.
Database normalization and SQL.
Code development under distributed version control; git, Fossil.
Familiar with SPICE and S-parameter simulations.
PCB schematic and layout editing.
Mechanical CAD drawing/editing.
General soldering/desoldering SMD's and wiring hookup.
Windows operating system operation and network configuration.
Many tasks in the lab require fine hand to finger motor skills while standing or seated.
Coupling visual acuity with sense of touch while arms reaching are necessary during instrument setup procedures.
Occasionally lift instruments assisted and unassisted up to 35 pounds.
Duties are performed in a professional office environment and adjoining labs.
Annual travel is minimal to none.
