SUMMARY: Incom is seeking a full-time QUALITY ENGINEER who will lead quality improvement engineering for the company including the ownership of the Lean Six Sigma Program and help to manage Incom?s Quality Management System including the support of the ISO 9001 QMS Program working closely with Sales to provide customer support for all things quality. DUTIES: Apply sound engineering principles/proven statistical methods to ensure high quality and profitable parts produced to meet customer/company expectations for specifications, costs, yields and delivery Provide organization with vision of effective Lean/Six Sigma Manufacturing Program and a plan to enhance current program to meet vision Initiate/lead companywide Lean/Six Sigma activities pertaining to manufacturing of high quality glass/polymer products in a safe, efficient, and profitable manner, according with Incom?s business goals; manage creation of the Lean event, team, documentation, schedule, and resources Administer corrective action system; perform root-cause analyses; install corrective actions; perform audits Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes Quality Management System: develop/implement/manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of quality products consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals; maintain/communicate/enhance quality plans, policies and procedures that enable Incom to meet/exceed compliance requirements for ISO 9001 quality management system; define/train broad base quality procedures to ensure effective use of these procedures throughout the organization; define/document/train/monitor all product inspection processes; supervise inspection process for technical support staff members; perform preventive maintenance/enhancement of inspection equipment Customer Support: work as customer liaison to resolve specification interpretation issues throughout quote/design/manufacturing processes; work as internal customer representative during root cause/corrective action process; oversee all aspects of contract review process; evaluate nonconforming material (NCMR) consulting with Sales and disposition parts; communicates with customers REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field Min. 5 yrs. related manufacturing experience and responsibility for quality improvement programs Proven track record driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment Exceptional mechanical aptitude (intuitive understanding of mechanical processes) and problem solving Lean/Six Sigma background required; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification preferred Quality/engineering experience managing a certified Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment Must have mechanical & math knowledge; excellent communication, leadership, people, project mgt skills Demonstrated ability to set up/run process experiments; interpret results and apply results to improving products/manufacturing processes Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines on time and under pressure Demonstrated history of thriving in a dynamic, results driven work environment
