Responsible for day-to-day food safety and quality initiatives at biotechnology food company. Ensure compliance with product and packaging regulations, audits/other interactions with government agencies, and recordkeeping requirements. Lead food safety/quality training initiatives, calibration of instruments, and adherence to testing and handling protocols. Requires 10-15% travel to customer/supplier locations throughout the U.S., with occasional international travel as needed. Requires a Masters degree in Food Safety or closely-related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related food-safety-engineering position. Experience must include food safety/quality audits.
