Point32Health Strategy Analyst Senior - Product Strategy in Canton, Massachusetts

The Senior Analyst, Product Strategy position reports to the Senior Manager, Product Innovation to drive product innovation and development for the Commercial Division.

The Senior Analyst is responsible for conducting market and competitive analysis to better understand the needs of our customers and identify product opportunities and gaps. They will manage the product innovation process, assess and analyze project ideas, develop business cases and be responsible for updating and refining the Commercial product roadmap and communicating it to key internal stakeholders.

The Senior Analyst will work on several projects simultaneously and will be expected to develop conclusions based on data findings under guidance from the Senior Manager, Product Innovation. They will also serve as a subject matter expert on Commercial products.

Concept research and analysis

  • Conduct industry, market and segment research and analysis to identify product innovation opportunities and gaps

  • Review periodic customer needs assessments to identify product opportunities and gaps

  • Understand and track competitive product positioning in the Commercial markets we serve

  • Conduct financial analysis of product and segment performance, to develop preliminary sales or ROI opportunities of innovation concepts

  • Develop vendor relationships and support strategic vendor discussion

Idea and proposal Development

  • Develop and manage the product innovation process to generate and process new product ideas

  • Provide input into cross-departmental feasibility assessments to evaluate project ideas

  • Support the development of business cases

  • Maintain, update and communicate the Commercial product roadmap to other departments

Other

  • Provide support to management and implementation of active innovation initiatives

  • Provide subject matter expertise to support Commercial business cases and other key initiatives

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in market research and competitive intelligence roles

  • Prior healthcare experience is preferred

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent analytical skills, including ability to gather and interpret varied types of data

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet all deadlines in a timely manner

  • Willingness to build and maintain a network of internal and external contacts to help shape point of view

  • Ability to break down an issue into component pieces, build a project work plan, and take ownership for delivering customized research and analysis with a high degree of autonomy

  • Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills, including the ability to hold others accountable

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize and present findings clearly and succinctly

  • Solid understanding of basic business concepts and interest in continuous on-the-job learning

  • Must be a strong team player as well as a resourceful individual contributor.

  • Building relationships with colleagues in other departments is critical to success

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
