responsibilities:
Develops and validates new analytical test methods.
Generates and revise Standard Operating Procedures, protocols and technical reports for analytical methods and QC equipment.
Performs routine analytical testing of in-process and finished products to meet release timelines.
Monitors and tracks test results.
Reviews work done within department for accuracy, completeness and conformance to specifications.
Works with training department to ensure personnel are properly trained on test methods and on standard operating procedures.
Provides validation test support.
Investigates and resolves nonconforming test results.
Ensures lab materials are sufficient and equipment is maintained to meet department needs.
Keeps Manager informed of all relevant events impacting the operations and performance of the department.
Maintains knowledge of cGMP's and GLP's.
Maintains knowledge of current compendia methods.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science (Masters strongly preferred) with 3-5 years progressive pharmaceutical lab experience required.
Equivalent combined of education and experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, related industrial or clinical experience accepted.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
