Kelly Services Lead Chemist in Canton, Massachusetts

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Lead Chemist in Canton, MA to work a contract assignment of 3 months for one of our top clients. Primary Responsibilities of the Lead Chemist includes:

  • Responsible for supporting activities within the Analytical lab for a 503B registered company manufacturing Compounded Products.

  • Responsible for coordinating the timely completion of routine, stability, and finished product testing.

  • Responsible for resolving testing issues and anticipate the materials and equipment needed for routine and future scheduled projects.

  • Keeps Quality Control Manager informed of all departmental activities.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

  • Develops and validates new analytical test methods.

  • Generates and revise Standard Operating Procedures, protocols and technical reports for analytical methods and QC equipment.

  • Performs routine analytical testing of in-process and finished products to meet release timelines.

  • Monitors and tracks test results.

  • Reviews work done within department for accuracy, completeness and conformance to specifications.

  • Works with training department to ensure personnel are properly trained on test methods and on standard operating procedures.

  • Provides validation test support.

  • Investigates and resolves nonconforming test results.

  • Ensures lab materials are sufficient and equipment is maintained to meet department needs.

  • Keeps Manager informed of all relevant events impacting the operations and performance of the department.

  • Maintains knowledge of cGMP's and GLP's.

  • Maintains knowledge of current compendia methods.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirement of the Lead Chemist includes :

  • Bachelors Degree in Biological Science (Masters strongly preferred) with 3-5 years progressive pharmaceutical lab experience required.

  • Equivalent combined of education and experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, related industrial or clinical experience accepted.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Additional Information:

  • Contract assignment, duration 3 months.

  • Work schedule: full-time, first shift.
