Electrical Service Support Engineer

Robert Reiser & Co. will serve the food industry and other selected markets by selling and supporting equipment that provides solutions to customer needs.

Essential Functions of this role:
Assisting in the construction & troubleshooting of machines along with the design & assembly of test, training, and demonstration fixtures
Transferring programs into programmable devices using specialized software and connections.
QA of vendor repaired, and customer returned electrical parts and assemblies.
Troubleshooting of defective circuit boards, assemblies, and systems with possible repair of same.
Assist in developing procedures & systems related to the service department.
Simple soldering assignments.
Using analytical skills and tools around you, support others with their issues on the equipment we sell and service.
Monday-Friday on varying hours (8:30am – 5:00pm, 6:00am to 2:30pm and 10:30am to 7:00pm) based on need.
Associates Degree or Higher in Electrical Engineering
Three to five years of work experience in a technical environment including experience with installing, training, and repairing advanced electrical, pneumatic, embedded controllers, PC, software controlled industrial machinery and systems.
Familiarity with common hand tools including some electrical tools like multi-meters, etc is required.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Computers, and Networking technologies is also required.
Experience with Siemens is a plus
Must possess the ability to multitask and to organize duties in an efficient manner while being flexible and capable of dealing with sudden priority changes with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as team working.
Willingness to travel (up to 10% of the time). This is both domestic and international and will be more during the training period.
Requires standing, sitting, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, climbing, and reaching overhead. This position requires constant lifting of 10-25lbs, with occasional lifting to 55lbs.
Motivated and a self-starter while possessing excellent documentation and English communication skills.
Bi-Lingual skills in Spanish and or German are a plus
