  TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE 1, Chemistry, to join the laboratory of Professor Bradley L. Pentelute (http://www.pentelutelabmit.com/) . Will apply methodologies to rapidly synthesize and derivatize peptides and oligonucleotides using a new flow technology invented in the group; ensure the maintenance of three automated flow peptide synthesizers currently installed in the laboratory; and manage the ordering, receipt, and in-lab distribution of reagents.

  Job Requirements

  REQUIRED: a completed B.S. in organic chemistry, chemical engineering, or associated field; two years’ experience in organic synthesis, peptide synthesis, RP-HPLC purifications, and/or the use of LC-MS instruments; excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing interactions with other group members and coordinating the research needs of the team. Seek a broadly trained individual with a track record in chemical research. Job #19282
