The Supply Chain Director will define and shape the strategy and execution for Secure & Resilient Supply Chain solutions focused on the Biden Executive Order positioning for the US market as well as expand the global capabilities and POV of Microsoft’s longer-term supply chain strategy and offerings.

This role requires deep subject matter expertise of supply chain from a cross industry and cross function standpoint marrying business, digital and program management capabilities.

This individual will be a strong virtual team leader, able to cultivate relationships with senior management and manage across functional teams. Critical skills include the ability to identify new market opportunities, models, and solution gaps; amplify customer voice into decision-making, articulate business value and outcomes; and build strategies around market requirements, as well as the proven ability to translate all of that to influence engineering roadmap commitments.

Deep understanding and expertise in digital transformation opportunities across supply chains is required, supported by thought leadership in advanced technologies like machine learning, artificial intelligence, cognitive services, digital twin/thread, and other solutions and capabilities with a particular focus on transformation and the disruption in the industry.


This person will drive coordination and collaboration across sales, marketing, partners and engineering to successfully deliver the Supply Chain Program initiated by the Microsoft US President.

  • Define supply chain solutions(Visibility, Ecosystem Planning & Trust)

  • Own program management

  • Develop content andenablement

  • Own communications, including internal Senior Executive communication andalignment.

  • Drive customer engagement model via workshops

  • Expandstrategy &positioningbeyond the USto a globalPOV

  • Enable both 1stparty and 3rdpartysolutionswhile aligning roadmaps to customer timelines &requirements.

  • Drive partneralignment and execution.

  • Travel to customer sitesand other events asrequired.


  • 10+years industry domain experience working in business/sales/leadership roles within theSupply Chainindustry.

  • 10+yearsbusiness development,consultingor product/solution management.

  • Solid technical expertise relevant to the industry solution areas.

  • Experienced in managing virtual teams without authority.

  • MBA or similar structured strategic systems thinking experience a bonus.
