About This Role:
The Software Engineer at Forrester will work with team members from across the organization on a variety of projects touching web display, mobile, content management, CRM, and search engine systems. This exceptional candidate must be able to contribute to the definition of requirements and convert them into high-performing, scalable solutions. You will collaborate with a diverse team of developers, product owners, and business owners to make these designs a reality.

Provide strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting production systems.
Be fully competent in the management and maintenance of existing applications.
Actively engage in executing and critically evaluating team processes.
Demonstrate strong communication and mentoring skills.
Drive innovation with the latest tools and strategies
Full knowledge of how to design, program, implement, and maintain Java applications in an enterprise setting.
Proficiency in all layers of microservice architecture.
The ability to write high-quality, efficient, and easily testable code.
Experience conducting software analysis, testing, and debugging Java code.
The ability to perform on-prem Linux and cloud-based deployments of Spring Boot microservice and application containers.
The ability to rapidly prototype solutions based on evolving business rules.
Experience designing and executing all levels of automated testing (unit, functional, load, and performance).
The ability to come up with smart and innovative approaches and implement newer technologies.
The ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and nontechnical customers.
Three-plus years of experience designing and building web-based Java solutions in a production-focused environment.
Two-plus years of experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
Two-plus years of experience developing in SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience developing unit tests in JMockit/JUnit/Mockito.
Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
BS in computer science or a related field is required; MS preferred.
