SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR, edX-Digital Marketing Team, to support the successful execution of edX social media strategies. Responsibilities include owning the execution of social media strategies and collaborating with marketing and stakeholders across the organization to craft compelling content to drive social engagement and high quality enrollments to edX; driving consistent, relevant traffic and leading from edX’s social network presence; ensuring all social media platforms are updated/maintained and that customer inquiries are effectively dealt with; developing and designing content and collaborating with others on the graphic designs and copy to support digital content; collaborating on the running of effective cross-channel campaigns; monitoring and evaluating competitor activity in the social and digital space to adapt and modify short- and long-term programs as needed; monitoring current news to provide relevant, timely social media posts; building, updating, and managing the edX’s social media profiles and presence (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.); creating shareable content to spread edX brand, content, and links; and tracking and analyzing the success of promotions, campaigns, and regular postings with the goal of optimizing performance.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: at least two years’ hands-on social media management experience at an agency or as part of a global brand; at least two years’ experience creating and executing impactful campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other channels, using the unique voices of each; experience gathering, interpreting, and acting on data analytics for social media campaigns; excellent social media copywriting skills; solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape; and experience managing a community, including the ability to connect people, stimulate discussion, and deal with customers in a firm but empathetic manner.
