The Small Medium & Corporate segment (SMC) segment is at the forefront of Microsoft's sales transformation, building out a true Scale growth engine fueled by a connected digital seller motion leveraging AI-based recommendations and optimizing the Microsoft co-sell partner eco-system. The SMC Solution Lead plays a key role in enabling consistent local execution of SMC scale growth plays based on solution area priorities and sales programs for Corporate customer base.

This role will require 0-25% travel. Remote work will be permitted, but prefer candidate to be near a Microsoft office location.


Key Responsibilities include:

The SMC Americas Solution Lead Business Applications is a leader within our SMC Sales organization. As a member of our global Specialist Sales leadership team, the SMC Solution Lead will be responsible for the following priorities:

  • Deliver Business Applications revenues and Customer acquisition goals for the Americas through a mix of personal contributions with customer and partner wins and empowering Inside & Field Sales staff to achievemore.

  • Lead and optimize Business Apps Sales execution across Digital & Field Specialists, including managing Win Rooms, Deal SCRUMs, leading deal coaching sessions and directly engaging strategic accounts

  • Capture voice of customer and partner with regular engagements to understand core needs and communicate critical insights to Corporate Sales and R&D LT

  • Land Business Apps Sales Plays including playbooks, sales programs and readiness to ensure that all sellers understand and can articulate our business and technical value proposition to unlock new business value forcustomer and Microsoft implementing the Catalyst Sales Framework.

  • Directly engage Business Apps specialist and partners to support co-sell wins and plan joint tactical business development plans to expand market demand.

  • Lead SMC Stakeholder alignments for Business Apps across SMC Field, BG, GPS and Inside Sales to ensure transparency, clear communications and best practice sharing wherever possible.


Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:


  • 5+ years of experience developing high-performing Business Apps sales or marketing teams and a proven track record of exceeding targets at Microsoft or competitor (SAP, Oracle, Sales Force,etc…)

  • 5+ years of experience with business acumen expertise as well as Dynamics AX, NAV, GP, SL, Dynamics 365 or Power Platform technology knowledge to connect how customer business issues impact their ITenvironments.

  • Successful management of large-scale, complex deal cycles with Cloud services and/or programmatic scale campaigns that drive new Cloudbusiness.

  • Experience coaching direct and indirect reports in pipeline management, opportunity management, and accountplanning.

  • Strong relationship-building and negotiationskills.

  • Executive level communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to mentor others.


  • Bachelor’s degree with Computer Science or a similar information technology-related discipline, or in Business Administrationpreferred.

  • Master’s degreepreferred.

  • Certification in sales, sales management, complex sales training, sales methodologies, broad evangelism through events (presentation skills), and consultative sellingdesired.

  • Additional training or education in Dynamicspreferred.

  • Strong Excel analysis skillspreferred.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $125,000 – $187,700 USD
