Job Description:

Do you want to work on a system, running in Azure, that processes $100B annually with platform scale that doubles every 18-24 months?

Our team builds and operates Microsoft's SAP platform, along with a portfolio of first-party and third-party applications and services and is leading work to create a blueprint for the industry to drive business results through SAP on Azure. As a Program Manager on our team, you will be responsible to lead projects on keeping the SAP platform compliant and secure for critical Microsoft business processes and inform our overall strategy for making platform more robust and agile.

The successful candidate will be an energetic self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced, and complex environments. To effectively influence and drive program execution, this role requires a high level of engagement with stakeholders and effective issue and conflict management. This role requires exercise of sound business judgment in prioritizing and managing risks across multiple simultaneous large-scale Horizon launches. Customer empathy and relentless drive to help our internal stakeholders and customers feel more confident in our Horizon Platform offerings are key attributes for being successful.

As an ideal candidate, you are a solution-oriented person with a combination of business process and an IT compliance-related domain expertise within relevant SOX and financial risk frameworks. You must have the ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups to develop risk mitigation strategies across a complex environment.

  • Collaborate with business and engineering teams to create vision, roadmap and execute compliance and security projects to enable our business initiatives. Must have a strong focus on the end-to-end customer experience.

  • Advance program maturity through key metrics and measuring for continuous improvement against best practices/benchmarks

  • Proactive and continuous engagement with stakeholder teams to drive awareness and planning around upcoming launches as well as deep business insight of long-term portfolio roadmaps.

  • Drives the identification and prioritization of opportunities for improvement across processes or services. Evangelizes proposed changes across groups.

  • Drives simplification and automation to evolve processes, services, and solutions, to increase agility and efficiencies and lower costs.

  • Build and lead the delivery of key milestones for compliance initiatives within the SAP Platform launches.


Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of Program or Product Management experience

  • 2+ years relevant experience with SOX, including experience designing and/or testing both IT General Controls as well as business process controls

  • 2+ years experience with end-to-end business process risk assessment, including ability to identify where risks of material misstatement could occur in the process

Preferred, not required:

  • Experience in SAP

  • Success in driving collaboration across organizational boundaries.

  • Experience in a compliance role (e.g. SOX, DFARS or equivalent).

  • Passion for customers and delivering the right outcomes.

  • Excellent communication skills that can provide clarity to audiences that include customers,

  • peers and executive leadership.

  • Extensive organizational and planning skills, with experience building and executing tactical plans.

  • Experience with a metrics-driven mindset; ability to experiment, learn, and improve.Project Management Certification (PMP) or related experience.
