Microsoft Corporation Senior Partner Marketing Advisor in Cambridge, Massachusetts

With a vision to "build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more," Global Partner Solutions (GPS) is responsible for driving revenue outcomes with partners through innovative solutions – at scale! The Solutions Strategy & GTM (SSGTM) team within GPS is responsible for creating a single, end-to-end global Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy across our commercial services partner ecosystem, inclusive of our ISVs, GSIs, and services partners.

The Senior Partner Marketing Advisor directly influences lead, opportunity and pipeline co-sell opportunities with partners who build solutions using Microsoft's tools and platforms across Microsoft cloud and industry. This position is part of of our Global ISV GTM strategy group within SSGTM that helps build digital marketing capabilities that drive partner co-marketing GTM programs for Microsoft global ISV partners.

This role is responsible for helping grow Microsoft and partner revenue through planning, executing, and landing impactful GTM campaigns for solutions built on the Microsoft Cloud. The perfect fit is a modern marketing professional with a proven capability for building and landing successful digital marketing campaigns and programs. The ideal candidate has experience in to and through-partner marketing, field and corporate marketing, messaging and positioning, developing value propositions–all with the ultimate goal of ensuring connected execution across the entire customer journey.

Responsibilities

  • Identify solutions from partner roadmap to prioritize for campaign development and execution that will accelerate opportunity generation aligned to solution area and/or industry cloud revenue goals

  • Responsible for translating partner solution into customer value proposition prioritizing how the solution is differentiated through Microsoft Cloud

  • Define appropriate marketing mix of activity and channels to reach target audience and the appropriate Microsoft channels to integrate into

  • Identify campaign objectives aligned to solution area and/or industry business goals

  • Drive partner revenue contribution for Solution Areas (SA) and Industry business through impactful GTM development and execution across the Microsoft Cloud with assigned priority partners

  • Build scalable GTM programs and campaigns to optimize marketing impact at the Microsoft subsidiary level, including working with the subsidiary PMA-Ps (Partner Marketing Advisors-Partner Aligned) to drive alignment on partner selection and GTM execution

  • Provides input on partner marketing plans and market opportunities – and support the management of planning activities against scorecard metrics and goals

  • Manage relationship with GDC (Global Demand Center) for campaign execution

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 5+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of Demonstrated track record of success in B2B marketing, Go to market strategy, digital and event marketing, and program management experience.

  • Passionate, results-driven, and organized approach; with an attention to detail: A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable plans from concept to delivery, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 6+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years sales, marketing, technology-based, or business development experience OR equivalent experience.Preferred understanding of Microsoft's go-to-market strategies and partner ecosystem.

  • The ability to work cross-team in ambiguous and changing environments, along with excellent listening and partnering skills

  • Engagement expertise: Storytelling skills and passion for delighting partners, advocating on their behalf, creating great partner experiences, and understanding the linkage between these experiences and business success

  • Executive Relations: The ability to interact confidently with senior leaders in a highly-matrixed organization to present/defend/clarify concerns or issues regarding an existing project, program, or solution. This includes the ability to confidently address difficult questions, handle pushback from a high-level audience, and maintain an executive demeanor while engaging in challenging or sometimes high-pressure situations

Periodic travel from time to time may be required.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $133,101 and $171,500.
