Sanofi Group Senior Manager - MPS I Marketing Lead in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Position: Senior Manager, US MPS I Marketing Lead

This individual will play a critical role leading the MPS I business within the US Rare Diseases organization. The position will be responsible for identifying strategic priorities, creating marketing materials that enhance disease understanding and highlighting benefits of Aldurazyme. The SPM will report to the US Marketing head for Fabry and MPS I.


  • Lead the forecasting, strategic planning, and budget for the brand (15%)

  • Work with cross-functional partners to inform the near and long-term forecast

  • Create and deliver forecast and budget presentations for the brand to Senior Leadership

  • Create the integrated brand plan and tactics to encompass the needs of the US cross-functional organization (25%)

  • Work with global counterparts to inform the brand positioning

  • Lead cross-functional core team meetings

  • Collaborate with US cross-functional core team to refine global strategy and coordinate goals and tactics

  • Develop and execute HCP/Patient/Caregiver marketing collateral (message platform and sales aid, education programs, congress/convention booths and materials, promotional campaigns, etc.) to support the overall product strategy (30%)

  • Work with agency to develop key pieces

  • Review draft pieces, provide comments back to agency, ensure pull-through of comments

  • Review of competitive insights to inform messaging

  • Work with KOL advisors to inform content on speaker decks

  • Work (monthly) with SMART (Sales and Marketing Advisory team) to inform creation of brand and disease education brochures and implement

  • Lead the approval process of promotional materials through Promotional Review Board (PRB) and executing marketing activities in compliance with medical, regulatory and legal requirements (5%)

  • Partner cross-functionally on HCP and patient speaker bureaus (5%)

  • Partner with TLL (Thought Leader Liaison Team) to coordinate speaker programs (HCP and Patient)

  • Partner with PEL (Patient Education Liaison Team) to define patient needs

  • Work with vendor to create content

  • Develop and track success metrics and measurements for marketing initiatives (10%)

  • Monitor KPIs with cross-functional core team to ensure the business is on track with goals

  • Provide insights for monthly business review

  • Own market research insights for consolidation of situation analysis for annual brand plan, formulation of market research calendar, and execution of market research studies (5%)

  • Outline objectives of proposed market research

  • RFP process with vendors

  • Application of market research findings to inform development of collateral

  • Present finding to key cross-functional teams

  • Project and maintain expenses within budgets requirements (5%)


  • At least 3-5 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience

  • Bachelor's degree required in Marketing or related field, M.B.A. preferred

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing strategies and regulatory/compliance environment

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written skills and the ability to interact professionally representing Sanofi Genzyme and the Rare Disease Team

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement and communicate the core brand messages, product positioning statements, and collateral materials

  • Strong organizational and operational skills, attention to detail and judgment

  • Strong critical thinking skills and embody a solution-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work collaboratively
