Indirect Channel Business Development Manager

As the Business Development Manager for Clinical Applications and Devices, you will drive business growth by managing channel partners, cultivating relationships, and overseeing contracts to maximize revenue and expand market reach.

Your role:

  • Role and Greater Impact: The Business Development Manager for Clinical Applications and Devices (CA&D) will play a crucial role in driving business growth through the effective management of channel partners. By cultivating relationships, managing proposals, and overseeing contracts, this role is instrumental in maximizing revenue opportunities, expanding market reach, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Team and Stakeholders: This role involves collaboration with Just-In-Time (JIT) partners, key distributors, and various internal teams including business and marketing departments. Stakeholders include approval boards, expert partners, and cross-functional teams, all working together to implement the Go-To-Market (G2M) strategy, enhance partner relationships, and drive channel alignment and optimizations.

  • Professional and Personal Development Opportunities: The position offers substantial opportunities for professional growth through involvement in proposal development, commercial innovation, and performance management. Personal development is supported through continuous collaboration and learning from diverse stakeholders. The role may also involve travel for partner meetings and industry events, providing exposure to new markets and business practices.

You're the right fit if:

  • Experience: You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the healthcare and medical supplies and sensors. This role requires an individual contributor with a proven track record of managing channel partners and driving revenue growth.

  • Skills: Your skills include expertise in partner relationship management, proposal development, contract negotiation, and performance analysis. Proficiency in CRM software and advanced Excel skills are essential. Bonus skills include experience with commercial innovation and co-creation methods.

  • Education: You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus.

  • Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental Requirements: You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Sales position:

  • Physical: Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; occasional travel may be required.

  • Cognitive: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Environmental: Work primarily in an office setting; travel to partner sites and industry events as needed.

  • Interpersonal Skills: You’re an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders. Willingness to travel for partner meetings and industry events is essential.

Philips Transparency Details

Total Target Earnings is composed of base salary + target incentive. At 85% to 120% performance achievement, the Target Earning potential is $157,000 to $222,000 annually, plus company fleet/car. Total compensation may be higher or lower dependent upon individual performance.

Target Earnings pay is only one component of the Philips Total Rewards compensation package, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. Details about our benefits can be found here.
