RETENTION MARKETING MANAGER, MIT Technology Review (MITTR), to be responsible for creating, implementing, analyzing, and constantly improving paid subscriber retention, increasing engagement, and reducing churn. Responsibilities include e-managing the execution of retention marketing programs across multiple channels to drive increased conversion, engagement, product usage, customer ARR, and LTV; coordinating communication; working cross-functionally to implement initiatives that drive engagement with current subscriber base; collaborating with email marketing and consumer marketing managers across MarTech to enable clean, effective segmentation and communication; developing and executing specific “at-risk” customer marketing cadences and action plans; following up on metrics and suggesting retention initiatives; coordinating creative design, delivery, segmentation, personalization and messaging, and reporting for all renewal marketing; and other duties as needed. REQUIRED: at least three years’ experience in retention planning and operations management and/or direct response marketing; bachelor’s degree in a related field; experience with a subscription business and solid understanding of subscription metrics; deep understanding of consumer funnels and segmentation and proven experience developing customer retention strategies that drive growth; strong critical thinking and analytical skills, particularly in customer segmentation; experience applying data-driven decisions using analytics, A/B testing, and campaign reports and dashboards to drive business impact; ability to perform tactical strategizing and hands-on execution, including structuring automated campaigns; excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, project management, and time management skills; and meticulous attention to detail.
